life drawing 2013/5/27 revolver

had miss lin again for our model -- (not sure how the agency is sending them out... most models were only there once. maybe not every one is available for modelling at a bar at inconvenient hours xD)

need to draw more manikins (e.g. mr.guo thing couple of weeks ago), the drawings are turning into mud~

life drawing 2013/5/20 revolver

did really bad:

predrawing prep:
- loomis anatomy (trying to learn the arms): 2hrs+
- writing down analysis of mr.orbik's drawings (some comparitives vs AFF and bbq's own content)
- small ink drawings from tumblr pictures: portraits 2hrs+, body constructions 2hrs+

result:
- pure shit, worse than last week, was going too fast
- hopefully it was only because the model was too distracting (pretty model).
- females are harder to draw constructions on?

- maybe should've looked at more AFF before i went into drawing.
- last pose was done with nero pencil/charcoal thing -- due to the sickness felt from how badly previous works have been.

slow the fuck down and play with the design and execution more carefully.

slow the f--- down style.
quality of strokes
quality of structures

long poses turned un-serious for some reason
mr.guo was talkativable :D

life drawing 2013/5/6 revolver

gawwwwwwwwwwwwwk~~ did not draw much. always do so poorly when miss jie comes.... muehehehehehehe, so guilty.

least favorite model to draw seriousry.

miss jie was awesomely badass with her pink gun! always so slow with my thinking when model is live... should've switched to small book/ink to draw the full pix instead of stayign with the big drawings (didnt have time to include gun)

be sure to feel for the limit of abilities; trying to overstretch these limits obviously produce bad drawings.

Original assignment of the day (of cos did none because it was miss jie, pfft! need to slowwwwwww down and accept the losses):

- on shadow shape drawing (shadow boxing! >:D)
- things are all part of a greater line, do motion these out while drawing:
---> gestural/rhythmics
- IMPORTANT (for now, although have seen jorge done otherwise): core shadow lines must be a segment of greater geometry -- always slightly suggest and extend these hidden geometries to avoid shadows from looking arbitrary curves -- --think-- do consider about these connections and overlaps
- complete the shapes where you can
- edge shadow completions: some edges are close enough to sharp border/edges that the thickness may be self-completing
- overlap skins with thick ness could be such cases -- simply thicken overlap portion to emphasize overlaps overlapping overlappedly.
- thick and thin line arbitrary alternation to begin
- thick line could be edged too
- break up the lines whenever natural hand motions may not be smooth (try both, alternate like thick/thin lines, sometimes connect)
- light and dark lines, hard and soft -- alternate!
- (alternations will open up variability for more intuitive touches -- ideally)
- rethinking the figure:
- what's the center of this drawing -- decide before hand
- full figure -- female (or male too) -- pelvic centric -- or two body system -- work out the perspectives of both
- or think binary system
- head is the "tip of the triangle" -- its importance can be distributed as such
